Thanks. Now if I could just figure out how to make a buck with my camera, I'd be doing alright.

I really don't know, that's some of my best work. Guess I'm seeing if it's any good. I've got employment, I fly search and rescue helicopters in support of oil and gas exploration projects all over the place, so I get around a little, and take photos whenever I can. With the present oil market and layoffs pretty much everywhere, it'd be nice to supplement my income a little....I'm still working but perhaps not for much longer.

I hear the Syrian air force is looking for reliable helicopter pilots.

I'm looking into some UN gigs.
These birds I'm now flying in Gabon are heading to Poland next month for storage, should be a very cool ferry flight up the western coast of Africa.

Thank you!
Excited about next month; Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon, Nigeria, Togo, Benin, Ghana, Cote D'Ivoire, Liberia, Guinea, Gambia, Senegal, Mauritania, Western Sahara, Morocco, Spain, France, Switzerland, Austria then Poland all low level in a Super Puma, camera in hand! Unfortunately some countries are just refuelling stops but lots of overnights planned and a few days in some favourites.

Been laid off for awhile, but thankfully just got picked up for a SAR flying post in Kaz. Been home for months, bored to tears, and with a professional photographer friend (Associated Press - shot me surfing during a hurricane years ago and the shot made the cover of the Globe & Mail) I've been getting around to setting up a "professional" website and trying to make some cash, still got a kid in college. Apparently giving your shit away isn't overly appreciated by the pros...

A friend of mine married a Kazahk woman, (actualyl a Russian living in Kazahkstan) and he quite likes Kazahkstan. Apparently Astana has the features of a Kim Jong Il type place but one that was done with money rather than blood....and German engineers rather than toadies and slaves. Apparently a noticable despotic vibe but not all encompassing.
