it should be in my "sent" box. if it is in the "out" box, it is not sent.

I don't know.

This computer genius thing I have is all just a charade. I am really intimidated by machines and just wish to suck up to them while preparing for the day that they become our masters.

Because the person who you sent it to hasn't read it yet. When s/he opens it, it will go to the sent box.
