Haiti History

Since there's been some discussion of Haiti, it's history, and fuckedupedness on the board, where would one start for a good primer on Haitian history beyond its wikipedia entry?

The Black Jacobins by CLR James is the best book on Haitian history. It covers the conditions of the slaves, impressions and accounts of visitors and the revolt. CLR James was a die hard Trotskyist / Leninist but the commie stuff is easy to filter through and you are left with one hell of a history book.
