Every so often a tragedy

Postby Kurt » Tue Jun 19, 2012 1:12 pm

from either 1600 years ago to over 800 years ago has an impact.

With me today it was browsing around, looking for Classical texts to download to my kindle. I came across a heretic named Apollinaris the Younger. He wrote the New Testament in the form of Platonic dialogues and the Old Testament in the form of Homeric epic Poetry.

It seems most likely these were destroyed by the many times there was a book burning in Alexandria or perhaps it lasted to the Mongolian sack of Baghdad (where much of the Alexandrian Library was taken) but they are gone and have been gone for a long time.

Quite a shame.

Indeed
I know the law. And I have spent my entire life in its flagrant disregard.
