COPS in Houston

Postby Hitoru » Mon Aug 10, 2009 6:39 am

So the tv show was filming here last month, and there was a police chase. With up to 50 freaking cruisers giving pursuit.
Here is the local "undercover" story on it.

Isn't that what they typically do? ...and people wonder why I consistently say there are too many cops in the urban areas of the U.S.

They typically have a dozen or so cars doing pursuits on the freeways here, the police all have city issued cell phones and I bet in this case they called each other and say let's be on COPS !. Not all of the police in this instance were HPD, we have lots of Sheriffs and "Cuntstables" that have jurisdictions in the city. But still, that amount of LEO's on one stop sign runner is Keystone Cops like and I feel that if someone was to get impacted by these chases that the producers should be held liable.

I also once saw them chasing a bus down I-10 at midnight that was down on it's rims with sparks trailing 60-70 feet behind like a giant sparkler, with at least 30 cops giving chase. It was quite spectacular.

Some police will do anything to get their picture taken

He is the one that will be in the front car shouting back at the other cops "chase me! chase me!"

Yes, I agree, that photograph is just wrong.
