RIP "greatest living Englishman"

(It's a toss-up with David Attenborough.) Tom Bingham, easily the best judge in my lifetime. I finished reading his outstanding book, The Rule of Law, only a couple of weeks ago.

Shes never interfered with me. I have no complaints about her.
Same here.
Mega ditto.
I met her once and I found her to be a nice lady. Not kookey in any way.
Penta has always been gracious, kind and very sane in all my interactions with her.

greatest living Englishman

....but he's dead.
Doesn't that make him a dead Englishman and therefore not the greatest since there's so many superb dead English?
The greatest dead Englishman is William Shakespeare followed by Jesus and then Mao.
I know the law. And I have spent my entire life in its flagrant disregard.

I'd've expected you to be a Churchill man. Or Simon de Montfort.

I know. I was just giving you the opportunity to remind us of your illustrious ancestry.

Not yet. Long may he survive.

No sense of gratitude, that's your problem. It's all entitlement. :)
