Bigger question-Are multinational corporations (and other borderless institutions) evolving into the entities which will replace the nation-state as the fundamental form of social organization and governance as we get more globalized and demassified?

And we all see what unions are good for these days. The corporate state and the media it supports has out paced the nation state, and colluded those nation states representatives in a way that may never be fully explored in the light of day. The social contract has long been broken.

Sounds like a libertarian utopia.

Not necessarily. Could be just exchanging one bunch of overlords for another.

That seems the most probable outcome.

when they ask how you feeling
you tell em you feeling like something important died screaming
you tell em you feeling like something even more important arrived breathing
something you should probably try feeding

No. They are merely merging. Ye olde 20th century fascism with 21st century sophisticated market-researched sweetness. It's a win.
