Gannon had a good day.

Couldn't repeat it when he turned pro.

Sorry bro, but a Boston Cop took it to Kimbo.

sorry? I'm a proponent of a style not a particular fighter (I'm a fan of Tank Abbot as well) Kimbo happens to personify it right now.
Good scrap with Gannon.

I thought from your post you were a fan of Kimbo's.

I'm a fan of 'street-based' fighting styles.
Having said that Mr. Slice is amazingly watchable.
The problem with a lot of the hard-street style practitioners is that they rarely train for endurance until it becomes an issue, in particular I'm thinking about Abbot and Slice.

That dude is not about style. That dude is all about the physical incarnation of a mental focus toward beating the shit out of his opponent.

At least that's what I got out of watching his fights in the past.

Tough guy, no doubt.

I like Tank (being a better looking version of him) but I'll go with Mr. Slice for the winning beats.

It will be a good fight. I believe tank is more experienced, and I'm really not sure who hits the hardest, because they both put their weight into their punches and neither are lightweights. I would like to see that fight.

Tank may have more experience, but he seems to revert to the same old brawling (lack of) technique. He is not that great of a pro fighter.

I predict Kimbo to win in less than three minutes in the first round.

Do you really think so?

Neither guy can go longer than 5 minutes. It will probably be decided by who manages to land one of their hail marys.

I know these fights draw a crowd, but from a fighting perspective I would much rather see Randy Couture vs. Fedor Emelianenko or some others guys who aren't as one-dimensional as Kimbo or Tank.

I think it will be a good fight, and I think the outcome will be surprising. However, I say that based on having seen Tank in a bunch of fights over the last decade or so and maybe 3 or 4 minutes of internet videos of Slice.

Based on what I've seen, Tank has a more aggressive attitude and punches like he is trying to bust a telephone pole in half, vs. Slice being a more strategic boxer-based fighter who is able to move and dodge surprisingly quick for a guy his size.

This isn't going to be athletic based at all, we aren't watching a long struggle for the title - the thing that will make this fight interesting is that I suspect it will wind up being much more "real world" than a boxing match. In the street, a good fighter's fight doesn't go on any more than 5 seconds - if that - before someone is hurt to the point of which they are unable to fight anymore.

This isn't about endurance or athleticism, but rather brute force and raw attitude. I think the opponents are well matched for an intriguing outcome.
