Books: World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War

Postby svizzerams » Thu May 01, 2008 3:47 am

by Max Brooks.

Anyone read it? I'm in the middle of it now. I rarely ever read or watch "horror" genre anything. But this book is written in a very interesting style - short "eye witness" interviews from around the globe as the event unfolds. Very engaging.

The only Zombie movie I've ever watched is: Shaun of the Dead.

Ha haaah! World War Z is a great read, real fun and full of little vignettes about the war with the Zombies. Good stuff.

Shaun of the dead was hilarious. See some of the scary ones, and the cult ones by Romero are a must if you like the genre.

It was a very good read. For those without the free time it is also going to be made into a movie.

Cool - a movie!!! That could be most interesting. So far one of the most interesting bits was the "Battle of Yonkers"

Oral History of the Z War

Postby el3so » Thu Dec 09, 2010 4:27 pm

Just stumbled across a copy of Studs Terkel's "the Good war". Looks good.

Wouldn't have heard of it if I hadn't been switched onto the Brooks' book by StPeteAustin. So there.
