Where is the option "haven't seen the movie, didn't read the book but was kinda expecting a shot of a hot chic's dragon tattoo"?

While I can provide a picture of that nature, I cannot change the poll settings ;-)

Im just going to pretend, in my tiny little skull cinema, that it is about the girl in El3so's post.

Or perhaps this one

Yes, all three. They're good, very fast paced and gripping. Not brilliantly written (or translated, I suppose), but as thrillers, top-notch. The third isn't quite as good as the first 2.

No, I haven't seen the film. And I doubt if I will. I don't like watching graphic violence, especially violence against women. When I'm reading I can intentionally tone down the pictures in my head - like turning them to sepia, I suppose, or skim-reading the imagination (though I do actually read the words and follow what's going on). I can't pull off that trick with a film.

i loved this movie - glad it wasn't made by hollywood

That's changing:

Though Sony says there is no offer on the table, an insider confirmed that the studio has begun talks with Daniel Craig (Quantum of Solace) to star in the Hollywood adaptation in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Craig, who is about to start shooting the sci-fi western Cowboys & Aliens for Dreamworks, would play journalist Mikael Blomkvist. The news was first reported by The Wrap.
