Also watched the Prince of Persia movie. Found it pretty entertaining and there's lots of parkour which fascinates me. Just found it annoying that all of the actors were caucasian and British. But one of the main characters also played Jeff in the BBC version of Coupling, and it was good to see him again.

Another recent film I watched was Hooper in which Burt Reynolds plays a Hollywood stunt man. A really good movie to have looping in your man cave. Not bad, actually. Especially if you like watching cars get crashed and shit getting blown up.
Also had Sally Field back when she was smoking hot.

Just finished watching the two Mesrine flicks. New out on video. Very good and entertaining. Had never heard of this guy before the movies. Makes Carlos look like a pussy. Cassel did a great job.

Saw Conan last night. They kinda stayed true to Howard's stories, and avoided anything having to do with the original movies.

Would you advise against it if one had an extreme hangover?

I don't know. There's like 5-8% of people that it doesn't even work for.
For me, it just gave a bit of an eyestrain headache that lasted maybe til about when I got home afterwards.
But a couple times, I had to just take the glasses off and focus on the back of the seat in front of me for a moment,

I work with creating stereo for those types of movies.

I would definitely advise against it with a hangover.

Also, you never know the quality of work you'll get with 3D movies these days. With an action film like Conan, there is probably lots of quick cutting. Quick cuts don't lend itself well to 3d and letting your eyes adjust thus causing headaches.

I'll be seeing it in 2D

Well I went and saw Conan, still in the depths of my wicked hangover. No problems I'm happy to report. I didn't yak all over theater.

I will say that I didn't really think that the 3D was needed. Didn't add too much to the overall film. The theater was only offering the 3D version.

I also liked it more than I thought I would. Short on plot long on bloodshed, perfect to shut your brain off, let the alcohol leech out of your system and enjoy.
