No. Or at least I'm just not a Jason Segel fan.

..watching this one

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098437/

... enjoy more like a meal than a movie. Sort of a Finnish Saving Private Ryan, Hamburger Hill, All Quiet on the Western Front. It's ridiculously good. You thought maybe the aforementioned films give you a front row seat to war...not like this one though. Its undefinable as to why. The tension is palpable from the films opening scenes, and then it wastes no time in building up, then you can see and feel through their eyes, then you see the whites of the enemies eyes...optically this film is so good. Anyway...see if for your self if you dont believe me..

Fuckin weird movie.

EDIT: It did hold my interest the whole way through however.

The Barbarian rocks! I started to read the Robert Howard stories and they kick ass.

I guess the original plan was to do a trilogy but it all fell apart. The Destroyer was the result of it all falling apart. The original screenplay for the Barbarian was written by Oliver Stone and had these epic LOTR style battles, which just were not possible to do at the time. Because of budget, EFX or both I don't know, but damn tha would have been badass.

That actor portrayong Bronson really gets around too. His ability to portray such diverse characters is amazing.
My self, sorry, I just couldnt bear to watch it till the end, then again probably had better things to do anyway.

I saw Unstoppable today, it was pretty good escapist entertainment. A Tony Scott film. Denzel Washington is letting himself into age appropriate roles, he's now "the old guy."

We don't see enough of Rosario Dawson nowadays.

Anybody seen "Restrepo" yet? Have ordered the DVD from Amazon. Will do a movie nite here in my section when it arrives.

Yah, she was in, like, every movie released a couple of years ago.

But here's a look:

I saw it in a movie theater and again when it was on the National Geographic channel last week. A portrayal of a brave but futile effort. The coda of the film is the U.S. withdrawing from the Korengal.

The Nat Geo version gave an update about the soldiers in their new assignments or in civilian life - the captain is now a major commanding a direct action company in the Rangers, which seems to be suited to his talents. He didn't look too good in the segments of the film showing him interacting with the local elders, dropping f-bombs all of the time. Not an unconventional warfare nation builder kind of guy, more of a door kicker.
