I pick Johnny Cash just because I think the rest are a bunch of pussies who are only dark in a fake way (that's not to say that I don't like some of their music). Cash's darkness just seems so much more real to me.

"Suicide" by Suicide.....there has not been a more despairing album recorded.
The "Frankie Teardrop" track is a real showstopper.
I know the law. And I have spent my entire life in its flagrant disregard.
