Mamet: modern Brit lit "full of antisemitic filth"

"And the authors of today," Mamet adds, "I'm not going to mention names because of your horrendous libel laws, but there are famous dramatists and novelists over there whose works are full of antisemitic filth."

Who's he talking about?
Shes never interfered with me. I have no complaints about her.
Same here.
Mega ditto.
I met her once and I found her to be a nice lady. Not kookey in any way.
Penta has always been gracious, kind and very sane in all my interactions with her.

Yes. Anti-semitic and British. But dead and never a writer of "literature". Not quite who Mamet had in mind, I think. But I still can't think who. I went through the list of Booker shortlists and winners for the last 30 or so years, of which I've read about half, edited a few, published one, and couldn't see one that was "full of antisemitic filth". The latest winner writes what some consider filth, but it's self-consciously Jewish comic filth, so it couldn't be him. ;)

I guess Mamet's just drumming up publicity for his book.
