Hope Sandoval & Massive Attack. (Hope Sandoval should really date me)

Martina Topley-Bird should consider having dinner with me.

Is it bad that I have not heard of any of those songs? Radiohead I know, but the rest, no clue.

The part where he twirls around in the park is very familiar to me for some reason. I suspect I may have done a lot of twirling. But most of mine was in nearly-rural Iowa, so one time I had an encounter with a small herd of deer which ended when my shins got "hoofed". They had no idea I was just trying to hug them. I had no idea that I was as good at stalking deer as I was.

Speaking of. This is what would have been playing in my freshman dorm room really loud in the futile hopes of luring girls with a similar taste.

In reality I probably would have lured Nowhammy.

Swedish and heavier than a depressed volvo filled with molten lead.

Screeming Blue Messiahs. Perfect antidote for Stings Dream of the Blue Boring whatever ..[;us proof you never look dated in a jacket.

and then the very dated looking Echo and the Bunnymen

and then the Feederz. the best punk band ever.

I had my time shoe-gazing to the Bunnymen too, a bit before my balls dropped then Acid House blew my mind.

Feederz = quality, thinking man's punk

Same here. These wads seem to have spent too much time in their bedrooms, battling their I-can't-live-with-myself hormones. The music I know best is the sound of hammers on steel or smashing concrete. Real man's music.

DickPaw, I am convinced that you'd be the omega male of Mantown, you golden shower taking, meat-gazing dandified bitch-boy.

I didn't see any Cocteau Twins.

The Bunnymen played London a few weeks ago. I had tickets but couldn't be arsed to go on the night.By all accounts it was a great gig.

Elizabeth Fraser is another one who must let me make coffee for her.

Shit how did I miss Hope Sandoval in my life? She is perfect doomed love affair material and if I'd met her in the 90s I could have made her really unhappy, she so missed out.

Before Hope Sandoval was Kendra Smith and the guy who was the main songwriter for Opal and Mazzy Star must have had more game than any man in the 80's. You can see him with both Smith and Sandoval in the introduction of this video. Lucky bastard.

and by the way douchebag, unlike you I've seen Rammstein live. Whilst the music was great, sonne is not their best IMO, their teutonic propensity to repeatedly simulate bumming the male gimp was a bit offputting to a non pouf like me. But do carry on thinking that is what real men do.
