FLASHBACK: Your favorite 80's cartoons...

For those post related to Burt Reynolds and throwing balls.

Hell, I've still got the GI-Joe movie somewhere.
When the Challenger blew, I was watching the Heathcliff cartoon on WGN.
Many cartoons these days have gone to shit.
Where's our He-Man? Our Robotech? Our Tom & Jerry or Woody Woodpecker?
Now it's all fucking Spongebob, Yugi-oh, and whatever new crap Nickelodeon is filtering down to the masses.
Old Cartoons were so good that they either didn't always need dialogue, morals, or common sense. Pick two and run with it.
Nowday's, everything needs a moral, and it has to be literally shoved down their throats.
New stuff just doesn't have the requisite fun, with that little touch of insanity.

Some 80's music was ok, a lot of it faded out as it should've.
When life itself seems lunatic, who knows where madness lies? To surrender dreams - -this may be madness; to seek treasure where there is only trash. Too much sanity may be madness! But maddest of all - -to see life as it is and not as it should be.

I was more for Go-bots, but I can't remember why. No longer though. Now it's all 'bout the Autobots.
The name was neater or something, I think.
Dangermouse was cool, but then they made that damn Count Duckula.

Not as cool as transformers, but I can remember countless hours with the SMURMS.

ie Astro boy, Prince planet, TOBAR the 8 man, Gigantor, Ultra man, Marine boy and probably a few others....oh yeah how about Kimba the white lion, Fractured fairy tales and Bullwinckle and Rocky.

Didn't Don Johnson do the voice for Duke on GI Joe? Anyway, that was a great cartoon. That one and Transformers. Those were the big two. Plus every Saturday morning you knew that the Looney Tunes were coming on. Much simpler times back then.
