Control Room

Anyone seen this film? Watched it over the weekend. Listened to interview with American Marine, Rushing, on Fresh Air as well.

Value of film to me was seeing the "news" game from an arabian perspective. Coming on the heels of OBL's video it underlines the need for considering all sides of an argument. Not condoning actions of OBL, but you have to listen and consider his comments in the context of his world view...sounds ominously like GWB ----

Have rented it, but have not seen it.

Did anyone else see Rumsfeld's War? Pretty good. Its about the battle for the military to minimize civilian control over the forces after Vietnam (the Powell doctrine) and how Rumsfeld pushes for more civ control. I'm suprised they were able to get so many guys from the Army and a former head of Centcom to go on camera. Worth checking it out.

Thanks Rupert for the tip - I'll definitely check that out.
