I just don't know. I can be a fucktard, but when I'm far away from home I try stay stay in line and not start shit. I know how to act around Leos, but I hope the Orange County Sheriff deputies I had contact with get Mersa on their testes.

I got roped into attending the Orange County fair to see Joan Jet with my sister, daughter and wife. I drank beer, watched a punk rock band from Palmdale in another venue, looked at the Ag exhibits and talked with the Bonsai tree dudes. I couldn't watch the Joan Jet show due to it's suckage. I sat outside in the smoking are where the J/Jet show was going on and started recording with my video cam. I was thinking it would be amusing to do a J/J parking lot type video similar to Heavy Metal Parking Lot. So I recorded people in the crowd for less than ten minutes and got bored. A couple of folks came up and sat next to me and asked for a light. I lit them up,they gave me a smoke and we started conversing. I got half way through my cig and i noticed three Cops in green fatigues looking at me.

It's fun to use your presence but it's also wise to not get too bold with it. Was asked to check out a bar where someone was harassed by three bikers(probably Rock Machine) last Wed. So I sat there waiting to see if they'd come back. They didn't. I'm a nothing but considered to be a wildcard and I still enjoy living life on the edge. So the person who was harrassed and myself were escorted back to a safe place by another biker of a different club(the "A's"). This happens all the time. Somebody tries to piss off someone from a different club by harrassing someone of significance to them. The best thing to do is ignore it but still show a presence. If there are real repercussions I don't want to know.

I'm sorry folks, I've had a number of challenges last week. My router went down, death in the family plus a work related accident.

I'm stating now for the record I'm the kind of guy that will help the police arrest someone who deserves to go to jail, but I will intercede against the police if it's a bullshit arrest. If a cop is chasing someone and is yelling stop or I'll shoot, I'm going to trip the perp. As I did last summer.

So back to my rant.

All three cops came up to me and surrounded me, one came within arms length and asked me "are you recording girls ?". I replied I was recording everyone. He told me to put my cigarette out, put the camera down (I wish now it was on ) and come away from the people I was talking to.

"We had a report that you were recording girls". Great, they think I'm a perv. I replied again I was recording everybody, doing like heavy metal parking lot. But Joan Jet smoking area. "Let's see your ID"." "How long have you been in Kalifornia ?"
Two weeks sir. "What are you doing in Kalifornia ?" Vacationing with my family sir.( I was born less than 10 miles away from the venue). "Have you ever been arrested?". Failure to appear on a traffic , here he interrupts me and says "I'll tell you right now you better not be lying to me" ! Now one of the other cops gets in my face and yells "are you on parole or probation"?
No sir, I never have been. Again one of the cops yells " you better not be lying to us" !

Now I'm worried they are going to tell me to empty my pockets. I'm thinking ahh shit , they are not going to like my pocket knife at all . (Or the machine gun videos on my camera if they took it ;)

Well, the first cop gets closer to me and with (I assume) his most intimidating voice tells me" let me give you some advice, if you don't want us to totally ruin your night , you need to go back into the concert with your family and enjoy the show".
Yes sir I replied, and walked away. I was pissed, but relieved they didn't search me. I don't know if they had probable cause or not as I figured in such a venue they can search anyone anytime.

Now, I know in the big picture of getting into trouble this ain't shit ( I was accused of bank robbery once), and I may be coming off as a whiner, but still I looked for signs saying no recording and there were none visible. It's not like I was up-skirting or had any nefarious intent what so ever. I am also aware that video recording is somewhat invasive, and I have researched the legality of public recording. Anyways I was in a public venue where there are security cameras watching everything they can. I figured it was no big deal.

Mistaken ID never occurred to me. I took around three minutes of video, I have not been able to download the show, and around half of what is on my camera for some reason. It's fucked up. If I get it to work Ill post it, pretty boring with the highlight of some guy jumping up and down.

It's the kind of lame story only your friends would care to hear.
