would you?
really?
why all the romance.
you take draws for the two months' gear work you do, before the season, till you get paid a month after the season is over. maybe thirty. maybe fifty grand. that doesn't include thirty percent tax minus gear and meals of course. so maybe 15 percent taxes paid. gearwork is fixing crab pots on the city pier out in the winter cold. all day long, btw.

someone walked by me the other day with a Time Bandit black wool and leather jacket on. People who work and/or own the boat wear those. Like letterjackets from your school.
i ran up to the person. 'hi!'
no. i didn't know him from the boat. he had bought it from a store in homer.

stay in college.
just saying.

the crabbing industry, like the military, needs to troll for new recruits.

the video towards the middle has 40 foot swells. not fun. the ship is riding low at the end because the hold is full. good times.

and no. i am not bitter and Do NoT miss being out at sea at all.

..a family member directed me to youtube with title words for a fishing video of ours, i'd asked to post.
this is what their 'link' brought up.
passive aggressive offspring.
guess they don't want to share.
