How much are gas prices where you are?

Postby muskrat » Thu Oct 07, 2004 11:30 pm

The rising oil prices look like they are here for a long time. The supply of oil is only 1% above demand. Storm damage in the US, strikes in Venezuala, Norway, problems in Iraq and Nigeria are ramping up prices.

Sydney is around $0.96c a litre (1 gallon = 3.785 litres). Except my 'economical' 4 cyl turbo Saab convertable runs on 98% octane which is around $1.06. I only get 13.5 litres per 100 k's or about 17.5 mpg.

Cheers MR.

.30-.50 USD...I'm too lazy to find an exact number. This is in tehran, where the government susidizes the state owned oil industry, so prices are artificially low.

High end: USD$0.762/Litre (USD$2.884/Gallon)
Low end: USD$0.652/Litre (USD$2.467/Gallon)

The price fluctuates between these two points on an almost hourly basis around here.... the stations used to have this weekly cycle where saturday/sunday was the low point and it would jump back to maximum on monday morning, but lately it's been fluctuating by 10 cents/litre over the course of a day.

And this happens in tandem with all of the gas stations. Collusion? Never!

1,4 US$ liter in Sweden, less in Estonia.
Funny thing during my recent visit to India, the Indian gov lowered the taxes when the oil price went up, to avoid price raise, would never happen in Sweden...

Why I'm riding my 150cc scooter in lieu of my car as much as possible....hope the weather holds :-)

I don't have a car.

I felt a great relief when I walked by a gas station and saw that gas was around $2.20 a gallon...Dunno if it was premium or diesel that I saw the price for.

I consider the price of milk to be more outrageous myself.

Gas

Postby Q » Sat Oct 09, 2004 12:48 am

A little over 2 bucks here at Nellis AFB. (Las Vegas)

Which is SHIT because prices are supposed to be lower on base.

I've notified SFTT and hopefully they'll look into it.
