Good evening, my friends.
Your prayers are requested for Miz Grawp and her family as her mother sheds her earthly raiment for one more suitable for heaven.
Mamaw has had 86 years on this planet, raising three children, four grandchildren, and then eight great-grandchildren, and has also touched the lives of others beyond count.
A southern-born farm girl of the "Hungry Thirties," Mamaw had all of that generation's stubborn-ness, integrity, stamina, and ingenuity.
No one who came to her door ever went away without a full belly, kindly and loving assistance for their daily lives, and a witness for the Lord.
In my last-ever conversation with Mamaw, she said to me:
"You're that yankee boy married my daughter.
You talk different, you think different, and you eat different.
But I've been praying over you all along, and you've turned out all right.
Mostly."
High praise indeed for this undeserving soul.
So, please spare a kind thought and a prayer if you can, for Miz Grawp and her family.
Thanks,
grawp

But they will never love us, for we have too much audacity!
