WWI redux?

I'm posting this for the more Euro savvy members here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-15748696

So, is it 1914 all over again?

Good link that.

As far as I can gather the Boche haven't got a Schlieffen Plan but the russkis are on the march. Over the next 15 years I think they'll aim to bring back the Balts, Ukes and Georgians back into the orbit and park some armour and missiles on the edges. The Chinese will be nibbling round their edges though. So not 1914 - just the 1800s of tectonic plates in motion, whether they coalesce into a 1914 tripwire remains to be seen.
