Just so you know, I've been in and around Asia Pacific and SE Asia for 8 some years so I hope I can add something useful to the forum from time to time.

More than most I would say !.... (me certainly)

Welcome.

Aren't you our version of Sean Connery in The Untouchables?

Thanks for the welcome Caliban ^^

Sean Connery? When I look in the mirror I see a well preserved, middle aged, Michael Douglas.

Sadly, my wife sees Reg Varney from On The Buses....

I was aiming more at Caliban with that comment actually. Everyone here I pretty much just associate with a movie character.

No worries. Graham Chapman avatars allow anyone a pass.

Have it. Just haven't picked it up and started studying it. A lot of good it's doing me, right ;)?
Can read and write in everything But Mandarin, but am signed up for a class in Beijing this summer to fix that.

I can read and write enough in Chinese for it to be useful, but I don't know how you can stand it there that long. It makes Mexico look good. At least it's okay there for girls to hold hands?

I've been looking at Learn Russian Free. I like the most commonly used words list.
Also, for Chinese, there's Zhongwen.com. Also concentrates on the most commonly used words list. Good dictionary and there's chat there too. Just wish he'd do an offline Android version of the dictionary.

I just found Hot For Words, a Russian study site. Men will love it, women probably not so much.
