Things to do in Shanghai with a couple of days off

Postby orangebox » Thu Jul 30, 2009 6:09 pm

I know the sum total of squat and diddly about Shanghai, other than that I'm off there for work and engineering a couple of days of downtime.
Anyone got any recommendations for things to do, see, eat, kill, photograph, stroke etc.?

The Bund (cliched but still worth the view)

Pudong, take the space-age underground tram - awesome

The maglev out to the airport (just go for the breakneck ride)

Renminbi Square

Nanjing Road (beware of the touts/student con artists)

Enjoy, great city

Cheers

Cloud 9 is really a must. Magnificent view over Shanghai.

Zapatas is always a fun place. Lots of pretty hookers in the area.

There are some OK bars with hookers across from the Hilton.

Check out this write up about the "Red Rope Lounge."
