That is the best bike for the buck available and can keep with almost anything on the fun parts.

I CAN dig it.

Coolness, that DVD is finally out. I'd kind of forgotten about it. I have "Riding Solo to the Top of the World", by the same production company that came out a couple of years or so ago. Guy rides solo on a Royal Enfield, by himself and shoots the film too. Amazing landscapes. Of course that put Charlie and Ewan to shame for having Claudio along to film their adventure (Long Way Round / Long Way Down etc).

Did it come with a light-sabre or are you going to use the one you already have?

XT 225 - nice. When I went to get the Yammie TW200 - I sat on an Yammie XT225 and almost changed my mind (but I was trying to be frugal at that moment and it was a couple thousand more - I hate being frugal :-\ ). ;-)

NICE! The Suzuki DR-Z400 Super Moto!!! That puppy is tall!!!! 35" seat height!

As for Namibia - if I hadn't taken the full time job here 9/08, I'd already had a plan put together to go last fall. Then the advent of the ranger and the lack of adequate vacation time that comes with a full-time job, now I'm thinking the earliest would be next fall or the following spring. I don't want to do it on a bike (although having one along would be awesome), thinking more along the lines of renting a camper and taking about a month to travel around the country (likely with the ranger who lives the camper life in Yellowstone and seems to prefer it and has shown the proper enthusiasm for the idea - in any case, I'd go with or without a traveling companion).

This is one site that lists some diesel campers for hire out of Windhoek: http://www.woodwaycampers.co.za/models.htm

so i changed my mind about the drz400 - the seat height and the high heavy ride just didn't seem right for the type of ride i have in mind. i'm going to take engine rebuilding class next semester and i just bought my project bike, which is going to be the siberia bike, a '92 xt350

thanks :) i am stoked. it's air cooled and kick start only - so therefore simple to work on.

it handles great and the seat height is really low. it was pulling 65 easily on the freeway. i would have gone faster but the tires are so old they are falling apart :0

I'm trying to get my uncle to hook me up with his 81 XT 500, it's old tech but has less than 500 miles on the odometer, garage kept & never abused . He can't ride anymore and has 4 motorcycles. It needs some new rubber but it runs strong.
