Assume that I have been ripped off by

Postby Kurt » Fri Oct 23, 2009 5:40 pm

a Curtain maker (I have not but lets see where this goes).

Pretend I have in this thread and make jokes about my sexuality and all of that but then also tell me what I should have done to get curtians that do not look like my mother shipped them over.

OK..its agreed then. Bizzaro world has been averted and instead of me getting ripped off by a dodgy curtain maker who runs a business called "Beyond Curtains" or something vlindsay is going to make them for me.

The scenario avoided was this:

Kurt: some bespoke curtain makers just rheemed me a new one (groan!)

Vlindsay: You should have asked me to make them for you and therefore preserved your money and your dignity.

Kurt: Now you tell me...

See? Its been avoided!! All is well!!!

Hire a Russian hooker to get them for you.

OK...

God I wish I would have asked a question like this before I paid to have suits made.

Maybe you should just avoid this bespoke shit... learn to sew, mo'fukka, and avoid the ripoff howses.

Failing that get some local Dominican handy-ladies to do it for a pittance on the promise that you won't call INS on them. It's like Colt 45 - works every time.

I have no idea. I'm married to a lady who's hooked on the Home and Garden Channel. My participation is limited to "Yes, dear. They're lovely and go well with the wall color."

Here's one you can trust:

Why you ask? Because she is sitting in front of a sewing machine and her intent and focus is on her work (not on the "deal").

I can't believe you got ripped off by a curtain maker....Seriously - WTF?

Your immediate future:

My apologies for being so green at this sort of role playing exercise. I am out of my element here - especially because not only do I not know what it would be like to be ripped off by a curtain maker, but that I once sewed some curtains for a girlfriend of mine...for no charge. ...and I can only assume that they did not look like your mom sewed them.

Curtains? I don't need no stinkin' curtains.* I know, that is not natural for a woman is it?

* I do have some lovely blinds. And BTW - walls should be painted white. That way, they go with everything.

I call everything that hides my shame from the world "curtains". So blinds would work. (but I hate them...I always tangle them up).
