The American dream, buying things you never thought you'd need. All you need is a spork and a clasp knife to open your spam.

Buying? Not these. Some people cannot eat with chopsticks and are embarrased to ask for them. This way the diner just gets a set of cutlery to do as they like.

I would never buy anything like this. I already have sporks, chopsticks, and regular utensils.

What's better to own chopstick-wise - metal or plastic?

So buying a bunch of bamboo ones would work out cheaper than having a single set of the others?

Are the others a renewable resource? [The answer is no they are not]

Oh I forgot about all that. Bah. Maybe I should grow my own bamboo and make them myself. That's the BFC way right?

Wood. But not rosewood it has a smell that some people hate (rosewood smell makes me ill) but some people do not even notice it.

Wood grips well and actually I find the cheapo disposable bamboo sticks to be the best for eating and gripping. grip is especially important to those of us who did not grow up eating with them.

I guess I'll stick with wood then. I've just noticed in other places how people might have their own personal pair.
