MOSCOW HOTELS/LETTER OF INVITATION FOR VISA

Postby herodotus » Thu Jan 07, 2010 6:19 pm

Hi there,

Is anyone able to recommend a decent hotel in Moscow that will issue a letter of invitation (without an exorbitant fee) on behalf of someone looking to obtain a tourist visa. I don't mind spending one or two nights in the hotel, provided it doesn't cost more than $200 per night. On my salary, I would prefer something at half that price, but this is Moscow we're talking about here. Not exactly a cheap night's sleep. Many thanks for any advice forthcoming.

hotels are expensive, as is everything else, in moscow. you can find cheaper hostels if you can handle the backpackers, who tend to be more interesting than those in countries where no visa is needed. try the usual places like hostelbookers.com.

for a visa go here:

The best hostel in Moscow is the Napoleon in Kitay Gorod. Ive bunked there a few times when my regular crash pads haven't been available. There is a beer frigde in the main room which is always stocked up with Sibirskaya. They will register you visa for you too..
cheers,

Some of the places that arrange trans-siberian railway bookings will handle the letter... It is not an uncommon service considering the volume of tourists that ride the train.

Save time, effort and stress. Even though it has a fee its gonna save you from staying in a hotel just so you can get a visa.
