If you really want to get depressed, throw in what it costs to get a tree ready to harvest, from site prep to marking. And don't forget the capital gains calculation!

Check over here on the Nevada side. BLM, BIA, and Forest Service have a few crews in the Reno-Carson area.

I may have to. However, I'm really looking for something close to home to do for a season or two so I have some money for school, travel and other expenses, as well as the experience.

I looked at your video. You might want to revise your hourly rate down a little bit. You can always bump it back up with the intangibles.

LOL - "Skidding" is the worst thing since I simply do not have the equipment to get the logs to the landing - but I think I may call one of my producers to bring over a forwarder and get the logs out + truck them - also - the D tape was just for the video - I cut a stick to merchantable length when I am working - obviously much faster, but most people wouldn't get that on the tape.

It's worth a few hundred bucks to have the trees forwarded and trucked.
