Cold Steel Knives

Postby Kurt » Fri Dec 10, 2010 7:25 am

I just got some xmas presents delivered and since they are things with blades they are cool...but the company sent Tootsie Pop suckers with the box of knives.

That is awesome.

Sadly I am allergic to food coloring so I cannot enjoy them but still a good effort on their part.

Cold Steel makes good stuff and the Tootsie Pops are a nice touch.

Now you can go shank a fool and give them a candy consolation prize.

I've been really happy with all of the Cold Steel stuff I've gotten over the years. Never have got Tootise Pops with my orders before, nice touch.

Which spear did you get?

Um... Kurt might want to see a doctor. I don't think those are hives.

Sweet, I always wanted one of those to stash in the trunk of my car

Edit: Coldharvest, didn't you say a while back that you had a bad experiance with a Cold Steel sword. What was the deal?

I had a Hand and a Half sword from them and it snapped where the sword came into the hilt
when I took the handle off you could see that instead of the blade being tanged and coming all the way back into the hilt they had just welded on a threaded
bolt, that in turn let you see the appalling wood and paper-thin leather used for the hilt....a shoddy job and poor workmanship.

Their tanto was alright but not so great that I'd ever purchase anything off them again......but the spears are solid headed so I'm sure they'd be OK
and will look great, I just wouldn't carry one into the woods with me.

....and yes, I was carrying the sword to encounter a bear.
