It means being fully prepared, mentally and physically (as well as gear-wise) for the trip ahead. It is also about being flexible and obviously, prepared to go all the way and not make it back. I have been on many trips where I was convinced that I was going to hell and was unlikely to make it back in one piece. Being focused is everything in that kind of situation.

Mastery of your various states of consciousness allows for a full and free experience to the point where you can be able to detach but still feel the hell realm. Allow and accept the larger picture to cope with simple basic awareness.
