YEAH SO HOW IS PRAGMATIC ISRAEL COMING ALONG THESE DAYS??

I'd be the last person in the world to deny the dogmatism that exists there. I've found myself at the sharp end of it over there, too. Although I will say you'd be surprised at the pragmatism that exists there, given that it's the biggest religious powder keg in the world. Most people there are surprisingly laid-back; it's that small but vocal minority that pushes the various parties to the brink.

I let Malachi Martin handle this stuff. "Final Conclave" was an interesting book no matter your religious affiliation or lack thereof.

I have, however, always wondered about what happened to
Pope John Paul 1.

Yeah we have em here too and whenever we do anything stupid we also tend to heap the blame back on them, like the Iraq war. It makes us normal citizens not have to feel responsible for what our country does in our name, you know?

here is my conspiracy theory

inside anything that despises catholocism is the minutest miniscuality of matter that cannot stop itself from doubting that Jesus is who he said he was and that the church, for better or worse, is who it says it is.

it ain't over until it's over.

The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree... yeah, makes perfect sense.

okay, mr. white north american man, apparently you possess a deep and abiding understanding of your default religion thereby obviating another religion of your choice.

i have a thing for the underdog myself.

it's just that i'm beginning to understand that i am the underdog.

Actually, I'd say deep inside everyone who hates gay ass catholicism is like this little matter-whatever you said that, no, doesn't wonder if Jesus is whatever the fuck people say he is, but rather doesn't give a shit, and doesn't give a shit even more if it turns out he is. It would make all the mocking worth it.

He's later than he said he'd be......at least he got to the crucifixion on time.

Perhaps he's been the subject of extraordinary rendition? Lets face it if his showing up now was the first time rather than the second, and he did all the stuff he is supposed to have done, the authorities would be more fearful of him than they are of Al Qaeda

By the way, my theory is behind the veil, these sick old men have contests to see how many young boys they can molest and the winner becomes the pope.
