Animals fake each other out all the time, for instance, birds who will feign a broken wing to lure predators away from her nest, or possums playing dead. Poisonous insects are often mimicked by non-poisonous ones, such as the false monarch butterfly. So I assume lying predates humanity by a few billion years; we are the innocent victims of Eden's much more ancient mendacity.

Lying and deception are not different?
I am the object of criticism around the world. But I think that since I am being discussed, then I am on the right track.

I agree, fits in with story telling around cook fires and interpretation in art/cave painting. Development of thought processes.
