whenever i get really fucked up

like to the point that my memory is going and i'm not entirely conscious...I get up and start walking, usually away from where I am. this way i end up lost somewhere when my memory starts to comes back.

today at 1:00 pm i notified some friends that i needed a ride. i was walking down a random road. i never really lost any of the night from a blackout, but I did notice that my decision to leave the party at 12:00 pm was not something I really decided to do. I was at the party, felt the night's events catching up, knew I was gonna pass out or something, and then it made a lot of sense to leave immediately and I stumbled down the street until I had the wherewithal to remember that I had a phone and could use it.

i feel like other people do this too. why. in your opinion.

I guess I do the same thing, although I only got lost once. Well, not really lost, I was aware of the location of that particular ditch.
