http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/opi ... le1680575/Are computers taking the human out of the human condition as the isolation of the internet contributes to even greater human suffering so that all that is left is the condition?
There's also the question of irrationality vs. rationality. Who says that rational thought is at all quintessentially human. Humans have been designed by nature to be irrational which explains why we argue so much. it is more important to be right....it's part of our competitive instinct. Democracy is not about what's right or wrong it's about what you can get away with as we are driven by emotion, prejudice, and politics.
But..."his imagination was able to roam free in a way that enabled him to hover above himself and dissect his own condition". Is this what is meant by the transrational? What has rationality got to do with anything?
