I know a guy who was at the Metropolitan Detention center for about 1 year on Suicide Watch (he refused a grand jury subpoena so he spent a little over a year locked up without being convicted of anything) and he said it would have been really easy to kill himself. Suicide Watch was not designed to prevent suicide, it was designed to take away things in your life so you were more uncomfortable and therefore probably more likely to kill yourself like being woken up every hour to make sure you are not dead. Imagine being locked up for 400 days and getting woken up every hour of every night? I think death would be a temptation then.

But yah, Clinton's did it. Not the United States crappy suicide inducing "suicide watch".

I suppose it's possible.... JFK being a shadow of his former self, and repainted black he could easily be wandering around as a New York prison guard. Though I'd think that if JFK was really wandering around he'd be doing something a little more exciting like hoarding food in Yemen just to watch the famine that no one cares about kick in a little faster.

at least it wasn't auto-erotic strangulation

Heh, my own "dark thoughts/spells" involve ending other people's lives (j/k FBI) but there is a whole bunch of not-locked-up folks with healthier sleep patterns doing themselves in all the time.
Knowing there's a very public descent from prince to pariah and a whole lot more incarceration coming, probably didn't help his positive attitude much.

The only real and substantial thing about all this that is a red flag for me is why it took so long for the warrant to come down to search the island.

I don't know how it is in other states (I'm sure they all have something similar though.) but in Florida, at "DUI checkpoints", there are judges on site. In trailers, ready to issue immediate warrants for blood tests, DNA harvesting, etc.

But it took months for the FBI to get a warrant to search pedo island. LOL....Ok. I mean, c'mon.
