How many here are motorcycle riders?

What do you ride?
What would be your dream bike...and why?

I've just purchased a 1982 GS850L Suzuki that has been in storage in Utah for 22 years with a mere 850 miles on it.

Should we organize the annual BFC biker rally?

Used to ride a Kawazaki GPZ600R. Toured France on it with nothing but the clothes I was wearing, a bit of cash, a toothbrush and bottle of Jack Daniels. Ahh, those were the days!

Sold it when I took up sailing.

I sometimes dream about buying another bike. Would either go for a Kawazaki ZX9R, or a dirty, homemade, hard-tail chopper that wakes the neighbours up when I come home in the small hours.

Had old BSA's, AJS, Triumphs, Panther in my time.(Junk condition ones-cheap)

My keeper is an XJ 900 Yam 1990, shaft brive, bought new before they watered it down to a 900 Diversion.
Along with that I've owned Suzuki' GXSR 1100's mainly.(& Yamaha)
Bit of road use but mainly use for track days.

I ride whatever I can get my hands on.
I really prefer scratching so rough Thai roads don't do it for me & it's a lot of hassle to ride in Japan...for me anyway.

Harleys & the like look like a tarts dressing table & not really my idea of riding.

Don't ride but had to smooth things over with a full-patch HAMC member the other day...not recommended but it was all good.

What do you ride?

Rocky Mountain Cardiac. 21 speed mountain bike. Badass.

What would be your dream bike...and why?

Yamaha Midnight Warrior. Why? The Midnights look deadly with a set of bullet pipes, and make a fine custom for 1/2 the price and x 2 the reliability of an HD.

Check it, custom looks wild: http://www.rswarrior.com/Gallery/TTBONE.aspx

Interesting chopper, Mooshead. How do ya corner with a thing like that?

Haha, yah, for now my fleet of 'bikes' are a couple of mountain bikes and my old roadie racer (bicycle).

We could try doing burnouts on bicycles at the rally- no?

I ride a Ducati monster 900.
Started with a BMW R100 RT, was great for touring...but so heavy!

My friend has a 2005 monster 900 which I've ridden & enjoyed very much..
Ducati put their track (racing) bikes first, but the last couple of years reliability seems to have improved on there road bikes.

I rode a Suzuki SV650 twin until I sold it to finance my trip.

V-Twin, good acceleration, cheap insurance...

Dream bike is MV Augusta Brutale...droollll.

Couldn't agree more cash...was looking at one of those at a local bike shop yesterday when I was picking up an oil filter for my aprilia scarabeo....I like the elemental clean lines of that bike. I really like the look of the BMW's but still feel too heavy for me.

I've been riding bikes most of my life. For the last few years I've been riding a KTM 360EXC.

Mine has all the after market plastics (gun metal grey) and a larger fuel tank, so it doesn't look much like this anymore.
It's a 2 stroke desert racer that's ideal for Dubai. I've geared it up so I can compete with the big bore 4's, which just meas I have to ride the clutch a bit to keep in the power band for better acceleration.
Back in NZ all my bikes were geared down for better acceleration on the twisty turny forest tracks so it's taken a lot of getting used to.

Most fun bike I ever had was a Suzuki RGV250 - a 2 stroke road racer, light as hell and more pick up than... something with a lot of pick up.
