Shaving with a Straight Razor

Postby SRR » Sat Dec 09, 2006 11:37 am

To further my manhood I've increased my consumption of raw meat and am looking at buying a straight razor for shaving. Anyone use these things? Can you recommend a brand, and a place to get them?

Toyed around with those halved Gillette blades in a platic-holder for awhile, alas, morning shakes don't mix with smooth shaving.

You ight wat to practice a little with that before buying a grandfather's blade. Straight razor 'll cut up yer good looks even deeper.

a strate razsor requires a steady hand and thus if you do not have the time i would forgo this experience...my barber always rakes me curls with the straight rasor and it is the most PRECISE cut- ala surgery- but again if you ai'nt got the time/patience this tool is a waste of money and time...if you need chiseled pay a barber...there is no reason to carry a straight razor as they are not dual purpose///
where are you going? why don't you walk the wheel with us? what is the matter my american friend? what has upset you?

This is the one I use, it has Thanatos engraved on the blade.

I think before going the full straight razor route, you should take it steady and go for this step in between:

Cut throat razors can be a hassle because they need to be resharpened after time.

If you want to go old school, invest in a decent dual edged razor. The blades cost a fraction of coloured bits of plastic Gillette pass off as razors, they tend to be of superior quality, and the shave is MUCH better.

I've been through all of gillettes recent razors, including that recent 5 blade one, and none match up.

Plus you can buy one with a classic ebony handle or something, making it even classier.

I get a pretty good shave with a Mach 3 razor. Of course, I don't have a beard, and hell will freeze over before I use a straight razor from the neck down.
