Canon EOS 5D mark II..... anyone...?

Postby Kapa » Thu Nov 20, 2008 1:03 am

Anyone got their hand on a 5D-II yet.....? It's yet to ship to NZ and it looks
like it's going to kick some arse.... even the flagship 1DS-III....

Pretty impressive kit alright. Im not quite sure whats up with the militaristic style of the website though.

This is definitely a huge leap in digital video technology, especially with the advances in still grab. But the Red One is not a "DSLR killer" as someone has commented on the site. This kit weighs around 10 pounds without the lens or any of the other options. The Canon 5D MK2 weighs less than a pound, without the battery. This not something you would want to be humping around with on an assignment for too long.

It's 'tactical design disease'...you see it everywhere nowadays.
