Ripping Video from DVDs to iTunes/iPod?

I know how to rip music from CD to computer. But not sure you can do the same with videos. Makes sense that you could (well, at least to my cheap ass), but not sure how. Yes, I could read the book, but I hate technical manuals and half the time they don't tell me what I want to know anyway.

So anyone that knows how to do it, or if it can be done, please enlighten me.

If you are one with the bittorrents I am sure you can find it. If not you can PM me, but I assure you that bittorrent is the better route to go here.

You can rip most any DVD into Gaypod (I know because I have a PSP and it uses Gaypod format). You can set the size (i.e. how many Mb you want the film to be), and you can choose other output formats.

+1 Fair Use Wizard is about as easy as it gets, almost as easy as downloading torrents.

Try handbreak. it works, and works well.

Swordsman is right, the best program I have found is "Handbrake lite". This is one website that has it http://handbrake.fr/?article=download

I use a mac, seems to work fine on it. It is available for windows and linux, and it is free. It strips out the dvd menus, so you only get the movie, and it reduces image quality to ipod specs.
