So RYP... why?

I always wanted to ask why you changed the Mr. DP Cap to the style you have now. I still have one of the "originals" albeit torn to shreds, and sewn back up. But, IMHO... the classic Mr. DP Cap is so... classic.

RYP: I registered just to add my .02 on this VERY important issue (long time reader, first time poster...).

I have the original, and it has been with me to Europe, the Middle East and other less fashionable locales. On numerous occasions, that hat won me the respect of honorable men and the attention of beautiful women. I could not have accomplished either task without its able assistance.

But the "new" hat? It's like a leisure suit. No offense, sir, but....

Please bring back the old one.

Well, RYP... I asked this question about a month ago. (Was I supposed to enclose a dollar for a response?) Don't be embarrassed if you were just cutting costs, or these new caps are black-market knock-offs that fell off the back of some truck... I'll understand... times are tough.
