how often do you take worm medicine? and what brands do you recommend. do you need a prescription in the US - because I just get mine overseas where it is over the counter.

after several years of neglect, I finally put myself on a one-a-day worm tablet regimen and am proud to say i have hopefully flushed my system of liver flukes, tapeworms and roundworms...

80% of the world's populace have worms. you probably do but don't know it.

if you live in a developing country, you almost certainly have them. Their eggs can pass through skin, so it isn't even about making sure you're drinking bottled water and eating at reputable places.

but as far as visibly having worms, yes, experienced that a decade ago. not a pleasant bathroom experience if you know what i mean.

Domesticated Dog Fucker - LOL

But seriously,

I didn’t know about the “you probably have worms if you live in the 3rd or developing world” thing

Do you have any more info on that – cuz if that’s true then I have worms

Don't panic, james. They're very common. I've picked up worms quite often, mostly threadworms or roundworms, which are very easy to get rid of: Pripsen in Britain, tablets or powder (for children).
Shes never interfered with me. I have no complaints about her.
Same here.
Mega ditto.
I met her once and I found her to be a nice lady. Not kookey in any way.
Penta has always been gracious, kind and very sane in all my interactions with her.

Here, I looked some of it up:

http://www.healthyheartplus.com/parasite.asp

Don't know how credible this website is, but it does list statistics as high as 95%, and lists some of the common worms. A few other sites have other stats – the lowest I found for worldwide parasitic worms was around 3 billion of the world's people.

albendazole is one of the drugs you can use to treat them. In the states it's a Px only drug – which is lame considering most doctors in the U.S. do not know how to correctly diagnose intestinal parasites. Overseas I used to take worm tablets every six months. Then I sort of forgot about them. Now I'll try to get back on that schedule. There's little to no side effect and drugs are widely available over the counter overseas at cheap rates.

This is the most common in India and Pakistan, it's a generic medicine so you can buy a full course for like 200 rupees... Very effective:

I do albendazole every six months when I've been traveling. I took it every three months when I lived in Honduras full time. The straw that broke the camel's back was when I was treating a little girl who threw up two 9 inch long worms right in front of me. From that day on I took the worm pills just to be sure.

that's pretty crazy. i remember being scared straight by a 10th grade biology teacher, who showed us a slideshow of parasitic worms: coming outside of noses, popping out of people's asses, poking through skin, etc.
