The new gear guy in East Africa...

Postby cochiseintheeast » Sat Apr 24, 2010 1:15 pm

I just signed a deal this week to be a dealer for Thuraya, Iridium, BGAN, Panasonic Toughbooks, Pelican Cases in East Africa. I will be targeting the big NGOs here. I hope to make enough money to buy a big sail boat that I can pack all my shit up on, sail away, and never look at this place again. How is that for a business plan?

Once you start sailing, look out for the pirates.

I do not need to worry about pirates. Once they see the boat I will be sailing I am sure they will pass on me.

James,
I have been in Nairobi for 2 years now. I am bored with it, the adventure is minimal. Does not feel much different from living in the States. If I can make some extra cash selling some gear then great!
