Nissan Armada

Am looking at getting one of these when I redeploy next summer. Anybody have one? Comments? Consumer Reports rates it fairly well and they usually make the right call.

Hondas are great but they don't make a full size rear wheel drive SUV (Assuming that's what Dave is looking for).

The Nissan trucks are pretty good. They don't seem to have a lot common failures and owners are generally very happy with them. I would read through a couple of the NIssan truck forums for more info.

I have no experience with the Armada, but my friend has a Titan and so far that thing has been solid. I think it's about two years old. I doubt that the two are much different fundamentally.

It seems like it could be used for about anything without being a minivan.

No serious off-road antics - those days are behind me. Where I live in Germany gets boocoo snow, so I am looking a for a spacious 4WD/AWD family truckster that can haul family of 3 rugrats and baggage in all weather plus driving in snow. And the occassional trip to Garmisch & other Alpine spots. Want something a little upscale, if for no other reason than I can afford it. Don't care if it gets the dings, nicks & scratches.

Whatever you settle on make sure it's got big-ass snow tires.
