Portaledges

Postby Hitoru » Tue Feb 15, 2011 2:10 am

So I did the search thing and no postings came up on this hammock type thing. Has anyone here used a portaledge or own one ?

This could be the bomb shelter in the trees for me.

Considering how much I toss and turn violently when I sleep that looks terrifying

I do the same thing, my wife sez I get airborne when I toss and turn.
I would think it might need some type of webbing on the sides.

I have enough nightmares about being stuck on a ledge, without waking up on one. Aggravated vertigo.

I have used my mosquito hammock over a ~400' cliff before. Sleeping in hammocks is awesome. Just make sure those branches will hold you and don't flex too much. If one side comes loose it will be a scary pain in the ass, but it would probably be fun too. :-)

Great view in the morning though. Great sounds too. So long as the weather holds. Mountain weather: unpredictable. = fun.
