You have to understand marketing and branding.
Right now RYP/DPX-HEST isn't a household name. Or in 2011 terms he's not a widely recognized brand. The first thing he has to do--like Abercrombie and Fitch decades ago, like North Face and dozens of other brands that once stood for quality and now stand for buckets-o-lucre, you have to build the idea of quality in the minds of the public. This means finding and selling actual *good* stuff, stuff that Hillary Clintons namesake, Sir Hillary, would be happy to carry.
Then, once people get that DPX==Good but expensive you start the "lifestyle" stuff--cheap t-shirts, dayglo plastic foons and knoorks or whatever. In otherwords you can't sell out until the plebes by in.
Although a spiffy line of well made easy care clothing would not be remiss. Something adults would wear while being held captive by African Rebels.
