PLASMA CUTTERS

Postby APBT » Wed May 09, 2012 1:08 am

One quick question are these two comparable. I've read about both and they do seem to both do the same job. The consumables seem less expensive with the thermal Dynamics model but then I am a new be to this and want to find out as much as possible before I pull the trigger.

Miller: Miller Spectrum 375 X-TREME Plasma Cutter w/XT30 Torch

Thermal Dynamics: Thermal Dynamics Cutmaster 42 Plasma Cutter

Miller's are high quality machines, I don't know anything about thermal dynamics (the brand and the scientific study). What are you using it for and how often are two important questions.

If you're doing garage or farm work the Thermal Dynamics option looks good. I have no idea about the quality of the product but it doesn't look chintzy.

I would really love to have a plasma cutter! With the amount of metal work I plan on doing in the next few year it would really make things a bit better.
