Jackets

Postby Freyja » Mon Feb 11, 2013 1:14 pm

I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions for jackets. I would like one that can stand the test of time, and one that is rugged, but not one that makes me look like a UN do-gooder or some sort of rebelista (is that a word?). I can and will wear men's jackets.

That ^ is funny! I recommend a particular Eddie Bauer coat vender code #06317. These are older coats & I'm not sure they are still made, but this may just be my favorite jacket. Polyester microfiber waterproof parka of complete badassery. Fantastic outer layer for temporate climate, not sure what colors they come in, but the one I 've got is olive. It has leather trim around the neck. I have taken it outdoors down to about -20F & up to 60F or so & it shines. If you're looking for simply rain gear (for warmer climates) I'd do something else a lot lighter weight w/lots of mesh in the right places. For my area this time if year (we are currently experiencing a blizzard), I just throw on a hooded polyester fleece zip jacket, add insulated leather gloves & a poly watch cap & it works.
Life is short. Eat, Drink & Be Merry!

One should never do without one's jacket.

I wore a WallMart jacket in Iraq for years, I wear one now - it is warm and cost less than 40 bones, what more do I need
