I often travel with a collapsible spinning rod in my bag. Fishing is a coll way to kill an afternoon and locals will usually talk your ear off. I'm thinking of getting tenkara rig, which is like a collapsible fly-rod without a reel. They are expensive, though. Anyone played with one?

I have an expandable fishing pole - it works fine as long as you are not going after anything over 10 lbs
