No, its not. Christianity is an umbrella encompassing numerous denominations, including Roman Catholicism, various Orthodox churches (Greek, Russian, Bulgarian, etc), various Protestant denominations (everything that coalesced after 1517, including Lutheranism, baptists, the various Anglican sects and the various Calvinist sects along with a bunch of others) and a number of other branches that don't fall into any of those categories.
Roman Catholicism and the Orthodox church split in 1054 (known as the "Great schism") when the Pope and the Patriarch of Constantinople mutually excommunicated each other.
The Protestant reformation began in 1517 under the former monk Martin Luther. After this point, Protestantism in its various forms has been the dominant religious force in most of Northern Europe and after colonization, in most of North America (of course, noteable exceptions DO exist).
Many Protestants, especially evangelicals, attempt to deny that Roman Catholics are indeed Christian (and instead ascribe to their own particular movement the lable "christian"), but that has more to do with latent anti-papism in prodominantly protestant societies than anything else (see: JFK). An historical analysis of this accusation easily proves it to be bunk.
